In the wake of the recent earthquake that struck Myanmar, Thailand and surrounding areas, thousands of families are facing unimaginable hardship—displaced from their homes, in urgent need of food, water, shelter, and medical assistance. The situation is dire, and the time to act is now. The API ERG at the Brattle Group is committed to doing its part to help those affected by this disaster, including several API members who have ties to the areas affected.

In honor of Asian Pacific Islander Desi (APID) Heritage Month, APID is highlighting the following non-profits that offer vital financial support to support the community. Each organization celebrates the APID community’s roots while supporting members amidst challenging circumstances.

Churchville Nature Center sits on a 65-acre preserve adjacent to the Churchville Reservoir in Northampton Township located in Churchville, Pennsylvania. The center’s outdoor features include two miles of trails, wildlife and botanical gardens, ponds, Butterfly House, Lenape Village, bird blind, campfire pit, Pleiades Observatory, playground and picnic grove. Indoor features in the nature center include interactive exhibits, live animal displays, library, community room and gift shop. The center also utilizes several green building features that minimize the facility’s impact on the environment. A full range of year-round programs are offered to schools, scouts, youth groups, adults and families, that include outdoor classes, family events, badge programs, children’s camps, nature walks, campfire programs, and volunteer projects. Popular events include the “Rocks & Minerals Expo,” “Arthropalooza,” “Monarch Bon Voyage Party” and others.

Northwest Mediation Center Fundraiser Northwest Mediation Center (NMC) specializes in peaceful conflict resolution, and we're working to expand our reach and visibility in the community. We're currently fundraising to produce updated educational videos for our youth mediation programs. Why We Need Your Support Our current instructional videos date back to the 1990s and no longer resonate with today's youth and young adults. Participants frequently mention how outdated these materials feel, limiting their effectiveness. Our Project We're collaborating with local companies and resources to create fresh, relevant video content that will: - Better engage young participants - Reflect current conflict resolution best practices - Further integrate NMC into the Spokane community Our Goal We aim to raise $1,000 collectively through board member fundraising efforts. Your contribution will directly support bringing peaceful problem-solving skills to more people in our community. I'm on the NMC board and have been genuinely impressed by the impact this organization makes in our community. NMC shows up in countless ways, and refreshing these videos is just one meaningful step in how we continue to engage with and support our neighbors.

A series of severe tornadoes and storms swept through multiple southern and midwestern states on the weekend of March 15, 2025. Dozens of fatalities have been reported, along with hundreds of people and families who are facing displacement from their homes and extensive damage to businesses and infrastructure. Excessive winds, in combination with dry conditions, also resulted in multiple wildfires and dust storms across various communities. The following nonprofits are providing relief in the form of food, shelter, clothing, supplies, and long-term recovery assessment. Hooah Deer Hunt for Heroes provides outdoor therapy for military veterans. The outdoors is a perfect place to heal mentally and physically. This program enables soldiers to network with other soldiers via fishing and hunting trips.

The Campbell's Company Classic is a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament that will be hosted at the Philadelphia 76ers' practice facility in Camden, NJ. The entry fee to play in the Campbell's Classic is a $35 donation. Donations will support local nonprofit Leveling the Playing Field. Donations will be matched at 50% as per the company's matching gift policy.

Hey Ampliteers! I’ve taken on an exciting challenge—the 2025 TCS NYC Marathon! I’ll be running 26.2 miles through all five boroughs of New York City in support of First Descents, an organization that provides life-changing outdoor adventures for young adults impacted by cancer and other serious health conditions. Just like marathon training, these experiences push participants beyond their limits, helping them reclaim their strength, confidence, and resilience. Please consider making a donation to my page!

The Easton Area Community Center offers an 8-week, full day summer camp for the children in the area. We offer them the summer camp at a fraction of the average price compared to the rest of the state, taking into consideration they are coming from low income, and single parent homes. We do this with a heavy reliance on donors and sponsors. The 8-week program cost $2,500 per child, with us charging the families only $400 per child. We count on partnerships with programs in the area, corporate donations, and profit we make with our fundraisers to help cover as much of the cost as we can. Each year the cost is increasing, and those willing to sponsor are fewer and fewer, which makes it an increasingly difficult task.
