Hunger Relief Fund - California

About

As the holiday season approaches and individuals and families face reduced access to essential public assistance programs, hunger relief organizations and local agencies are hard at work to address heightened needs in their communities. Your donation to this Fund will help the following nonprofits distribute fresh food to those in need throughout the state of California.

Your Donation Supports

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

The mission of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. To fulfill our mission we: • Source and acquire nutritious food and other products and distribute them to people experiencing nutrition insecurity through our partner agency network and directly through programs; • Energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief; • Conduct hunger and nutrition education and awareness campaigns and advocate for public policies that benefit the people we serve. Our vision is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County.

Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank provides nutritious food to people in need, advocates for the hungry and educates the public about hunger-related issues.

Food in Need of Distribution, Inc.

FIND (Food in Need of Distribution) Food Bank, Inc. is the only regional food bank in the Desert Region dedicated to mobilizing the resources of our community through education and awareness to relieve hunger, the causes of hunger and the problems associated with hunger.

Redwood Empire Food Bank

The Redwood Empire Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization serving Northern California. Since 1987, the Redwood Empire Food Bank has provided food and nourishment to those facing hunger—serving more than 140,000 children, families, and seniors in Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte Counties. With over 300 direct service distributions and 150 partnerships with local human service organizations, all residents facing food insecurity have regular access to weekly and monthly food distribution sites across the five counties.

San Francisco Marin Food Bank

The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin, where even before the pandemic, one in five neighbors was at risk of hunger. We envision a community free of the root causes of hunger, where everyone has access to nutritious food of their choosing and is uplifted by a network of support. Together with community partners, we work to address hunger head-on through neighborhood food pantries, CalFresh enrollment, home-delivered groceries, and policy and advocacy efforts. We work with our community to create lasting solutions to address both the hunger we see today and the root causes that perpetuate food insecurity in our society.

Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services

Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services is dedicated to assisting those in need by alleviating their immediate pain and problems and moving them toward self sufficiency and financial independence.
